Ormeq

A world of stolen worlds. A name nobody dares finish.

Across Ammerow, roads link towns, travellers trade and fields grow wild. Beneath that ordinary country lie places taken whole from other worlds: ruined courts, drowned cities, mines and realms that should never have shared the same sky. The deeper you venture, the further you enter what was taken — and whatever survived there.

Coming — live and free by November 2026

Ormeq will be free for Windows PC by November 2026. Follow the project — and grab the source as it develops — on GitHub. No knowledge of Ammerow: Lands Beyond required.

Build an adventurer, then survive them

Ormeq is a free, single-player fantasy roguelike built on FrogComposBand. Create an adventurer from dozens of races and classes, explore the wilderness, take on quests and descend into procedurally generated dungeons. Discover powerful artefacts, learn unfamiliar magic and build a character around the equipment and opportunities you find.

Turn-based, but unforgiving

Combat is turn-based, but the consequences are not gentle. Learn your enemies, manage your supplies and know when to retreat. Death ends the run; what you learn goes into the next character.

Towns, shops and the road between

Between expeditions there are outposts to return to: shops, services and the surrounding countryside. Stock up, sell what you found, and prepare for whatever the next descent takes from you.

Glyphs, or tiles — the same game underneath

A modern interface brings this deep traditional roguelike to life with detailed ASCII portraits, optional tiles, colour themes, map zoom, mouse navigation, animated effects and sound. Play with familiar character glyphs or switch to tiles while keeping the same game underneath.

Set in the world of Ammerow

Ormeq takes place in the same world as Ammerow: Lands Beyond, exploring another part of that setting through its own standalone adventure. Live and free by November 2026, on Windows PC, and no knowledge of Ammerow required — follow it on GitHub.
